Rangers travelled to Fir Park to take on Motherwell today in the Scottish Premier League and after coming from behind twice and taking a 3-2 lead at half-time it was heartbreak for The Gers when Peter Hartley scored a late equaliser for it to finish 3-3. However, with Kyle Lafferty notching twice there are certainly positives to take.

Kyle Lafferty resigned for Rangers on Wednesday, joining the club six years after he left it back in 2012. He’s wasted no time in showing the fans what he’s all about, though, and whilst he missed out on a starting place against FC Ufa in the club’s Europa League playoff first leg on Thursday, he was always going to be in the side as soon as Steven Gerrard could put him in and it’s proven to e a good move to play him against Motherwell.
At the end of the day, a draw is probably a fair result for the Bluenoses after they rode the storm towards the end of the feisty clash at Fir Park. Either way, the game was a great advert for the Scottish game and it’s all positive experience for Gerrard in his first job in senior management, even if this is the second time he’s been on the wrong end of a late equaliser this season.

The fans are all loving having Lafferty back at the club and will be expecting more goals to follow in the coming weeks.
