Loads of Rangers fans have been reacting to Chris Sutton’s verdict on Alfredo Morelos’ controversial gesture during Sunday’s Old Firm victory.
The Gers put their title destiny into their own hands at Parkhead on Sunday, as they are now just two points off the pace with a game in hand.
Of course, there will be plenty of twists and turns yet, but Steven Gerrard’s side deserved their 2-1 victory against Celtic and it may well have been the psychological boost needed to kick on and win the league.
According to Sutton however, Morelos has put a big dent in those title-winning hopes, as the former Hoops striker claims the Colombia international should be banned for five games for his ‘throat-cutting’ gesture.
Per The Daily Record, Sutton says the SFA will become a ‘laughing stock’ if they don’t crack down on the Rangers star with a significant ban, reinforcing his thoughts on Twitter.
A very dangerous precedent being set by those defending the Morelos gesture…people suggesting it has a different meaning in South America doesn’t stand up… anyway he’s been playing in Scotland for a long time… he knew what he was doing… it’s unacceptable end of…

The Ibrox outfit have reported on the incident on their official site: “It is a gesture used commonly throughout South America to indicate quite simply that something – in this case, the match – is finished.”
Needless to say, Sutton’s thoughts have prompted quite the reaction from both sides of the debate, and you can find some of the best from Gers fans down below…
You want a reaction that sells newspapers, your focus should have been on racism as it was when England played in Bulgaria, but no you select and advise the SFA to ban a player for a gesture to continued racial abuse, Sutton you are an utterly despicable man…

Can see the motivation a mile off.
First time in 8 years they have faced a genuine challenge and their only answer is to beg for suspensions. https://t.co/dOBAfNRPW7
