Katic, who signed for the Scottish Premiership leaders from Slaven Belupo in 2018, has signed a one-year contract extension – committing himself to the Glaswegian outfit until 2023.
The Croatian defender has featured often for Steven Gerrard’s side since his arrival, making 41 appearances and scoring twice.
Alongside Connor Goldson, Filip Helander and Samuel Edmundson in an ever-changing back four for Rangers, Katic has shined as one of Gerrard’s first choice options at centre-half – endearing himself to the Gers’ faithful.
Now, his persistence has been rewarded with a new contract, with Rangers fans taking to Twitter and congratulating the centre-back upon committing himself to the club for a further 12 months.
