There has been plenty of reaction from some Rangers fans on Twitter in response to a comment made by defender Nikola Katic about one moment in particular last month.
Speaking to rangers.co.uk ahead of Wednesday’s match against St Mirren, the Croatian centre-back admitted that he had watched back his winning goal in December’s derby win over Celtic “a million times”, with the quote also shared by @RangersFC on Twitter.

The 23-year-old came up with the decisive moment at Parkhead three weeks ago when he got his head to a Borna Barisic corner and steered the ball past Fraser Forster to put Rangers 2-1 up, a scoreline that remained until full-time as Steven Gerrard’s side cut the gap on their Glasgow rivals to two points going into the winter break. That was Katic’s sixth goal in a Light Blues shirt and his third of the season, having also scored against Motherwell last month and against FC Midtjylland in Europa League qualifying (as per TransferMarkt), and his comment about the derby-winning goal sparked replies from these Rangers fans on Twitter:
