Rangers supporters have been somewhat downbeat in recent times after seeing their team suffer their first loss under Steven Gerrard just prior to the current international break.
The Light Blues made an encouraging start to life under the Liverpool legend in qualifying for the group stages of the Europa League as well as making an unbeaten start to the domestic season, only to run into champions and bitter rivals Celtic at Parkhead last time out. An Olivier Ntcham strike proved to be the difference between the Scottish giants to thus earn the Bhoys a vital 1-0 victory, a result which moved them up to second in the Scottish Premiership table, and already four points clear of Gerrard’s Gers.
As such, there have been many despondent Rangers fans up and down the country in recent times, although their mood is likely to be improved given 20-year-old Ross McCrorie helped the Scotland Under-21s to victory against the Netherlands on Tuesday.

The Rangers youngster started in midfield for Scott Gemmill’s side as they sought to keep their European Championship hopes intact in Doetinchem, and they did just that thanks to a brace from Fraser Hornby either side of a Teun Koopmeiner equaliser to seal a 2-1 success.
And McCrorie took to Twitter to express his delight at helping his country keep alive their qualification hopes, which prompted many buzzing Rangers supporters to take to the social media platform to praise the defender for his exploits on international duty…
