Rangers fans are gushing over a clip from Sunday’s Old Firm victory, as Joe Aribo showed his class on the biggest stage.
Aribo has shown glimpses of his talent throughout his time at Rangers so far, but Sunday’s display felt like a real coming of age for the young midfielder.
It would be oh so easy for a skilful but lightweight youngster to go missing in such a hostile and intense clash (looking at you Ovie Ejaria), but the former Charlton man was fantastic, highlighted by one particularly stunning moment of pure class.

With the score still at 0-0 at Parkhead, Connor Goldson launched a ball 70 yards down the right flank to Aribo, which the 23 year-old plucked out of the sky with a phenomenal first touch.
The Nigeria international has scored six goals and provided seven assists in 32 appearances at Ibrox this season, and with moments like this it’s no wonder Steven Gerrard was so desperate to bring the £40k-rated (Transfermarkt) man to Glasgow this summer.

What a move by Gerrard and what a player we have on our hands by the way. Aribo has been so good in this new position it really suits him.

Think there is still a slight confidence issue with the lad. Once he gets used to the expectation and playing in front of 50,000 he will come to fruition. His touch is Sheer class.
