As noted by rangers.co.uk, the Light Blues’ cup clash away to Hamilton on Saturday will be shown exclusively on Premier Sports. Coverage begins at noon, with the match kicking off at 12:30pm, and the action will be brought to viewers by Darrell Currie, Alex Rae, Kevin Thomson, Chris Sutton, Stephen Craigan, Rory Hamilton and Emma Dodds.
However, the announcement has not gone down well with a number of Rangers fans on social media, some of whom recalled a previous episode when the broadcaster had been due to show Steven Gerrard’s team in action. As noted by The Scottish Sun, a technical hitch by Premier Sports saw Virgin Media customers missing a large part of the Light Blues’ Europa League qualifier against Progres Niederkorn last August as a Leinster v Munster rugby match was shown instead. There were also problems with the audio quality for that broadcast.
After discovering that Premier Sports will show Saturday’s game against Hamilton, these ‘Gers fans took to Twitter to voice their displeasure:
Joke outfit premier sports.
