Rangers: Fans were loving Jordan Jones’ bit of skill in their friendly against Marseille

Jordan Jones produced a moment of magic with the ball at his feet during Rangers’ friendly with Olympique de Marseille that got a number of fans waxing lyrical on Twitter.

The winger is continuing in his efforts to become a key player for Steven Gerrard’s side this season following his summer arrival from Scottish Premiership rivals Kilmarnock (Sky Sports).

Jones had an impressive campaign for Killie last season, as the Northern Ireland international managed to net four goals and provide his team-mates with an additional four assists, including one against his current employers back in January (Transfermarkt).

As Rangers News stated, the winger has already shown glimpses of quality and what he can bring to the table when given the opportunity. He is direct with his play, he is extremely quick and hard-working with and without the ball on the flanks.

Jones spent the final two months of the Scottish Premiership campaign last season on the sidelines with a shoulder injury (Transfermarkt), but it seems he is doing well in his recovery and getting back to his best.

Indeed, that piece of skill he displayed against Marseille will have certainly won him some fans at Ibrox already.

The 24-year-old, who was only playing in his third match for the Light Blues, received the ball on the touchline and managed to move his feet so quickly with the ball that he left the Ligue 1 outfit’s defender for dead.

Here are just some of the reactions fans had to say about the piece of skill on social media…
