Rangers: Gers offer Arron Lyall new contract

Glasgow Rangers have reportedly offered Arron Lyall a new contract in the hopes of keeping him beyond this summer.
The Lowdown: Contract expiring
Lyall’s contract at Ibrox is expiring in the summer, meaning that he can leave as a free agent at the end of the season.
The 19-year-old has never made a first-team appearance for the Gers, but has impressed at youth level, with 10 goals and three assists in total over all competitions so far this season (Transfermarkt).
The Latest: New deal offered
As per Football Insider, the Light Blues have offered Lyall a new deal which would see him stay beyond this term.
It is said that he has impressed the Rangers coaching staff, and has recently been promoted to train with the first-team squad.
Lyall has shown his versatility by also being able to play in a central midfield role this campaign, and certainly has a bright future.
The Verdict: Exciting…
Lyall is certainly an ‘exciting‘ young player, as emphasised by interim manager Neil McCann when Inverness Caledonian Thistle signed him on loan in 2021.
At just 17, he made four first-team appearances for the Scottish side, and so has the experience of senior football, just not at the Teddy Bears.
Nonetheless, Lyall will be hoping to catch the eye of Michael Beale over the coming months, and by signing a new deal, will want first-team opportunities next season.
