Glasgow Rangers: Fans rage against decision on Ryan Edwards

Glasgow Rangers can be happy with their work from last weekend against Dundee United.

The ‘Gers beat the Tangerines 4-0 thanks to goals from Ryan Kent, James Tavernier, Kemar Roofe and Scott Arfield, with the win meaning that they stay top of the Premiership table. Not only that, they have maintained their six-point lead over their fierce city rivals Celtic.

However, there were some negatives from that game. The ‘Gers picked up four injuries across the afternoon, with Alfredo Morelos being one of three players forced off. The Colombia international was on the end of a nasty tackle from Ryan Edwards, who was not shown a red card.

The incident was reviewed by a panel after the match and, although they were able to analyse the tackle, they have decided not to punish Edwards. This appears to have shocked and enraged many ‘Gers supporters – one fan even called the decision “absolutely mental” – and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
