Steven Gerrard will no doubt be disappointed following Glasgow Rangers’ performance against Livingston on Sunday.
The Gers went into the match at the Tony Macaroni arena on the back of a three-match winning league run in the Premiership, with them sitting top of the table in the process. That is still the case, but they were unable to take advantage of Hibernian dropping points against Motherwell as the Ibrox outfit could only muster a 0-0 draw.
As the match meandered to a goalless sharing of the points, Gerrard brought on Brandon Barker in an attempt to give his side an attacking edge. The 23-year-old winger is not the most popular player amongst the club’s supporters, though, and he disappointed here once again as he managed a WhoScored rating of just 5.92 for the 33 minutes he spent on the pitch.
Should Rangers sell Brandon Barker?
His showing was another opportunity for the fans to express their anger at him – one called him “brutal” – and they took to Twitter to do so. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.

When you’re bringing Brandon Barker on to play for Rangers you know you have problems. I actually feel quite sorry for the boy.

Brandon Barker will never be worthy of a Rangers shirt and plastic pitches should never be allowed in top flight football!!

Is that not what Kent and Hagi and Aribo are for? All of whom undoubtedly have skill but don’t offer nearly enough and seem very inconsistent. And I tell you one thing, Brandon Barker must look like Pele in training.
