Many Glasgow Rangers fans have been left buzzing as news emerged involving academy player Lewis MacKinnon.

As shared by the official Twitter page of Rangers B & Academy, the defender scored in the final few seconds of their game away at Cumbernauld Colts in the Scottish Lowland League on Wednesday night.

The goal meant that Rangers B left Broadwood Stadium with a 3-2 win and all three points, with Tony Weston grabbing the other two goals (rangers.co.uk).

With the club confirming this morning that Steven Gerrard has left Ibrox to join Aston Villa as their new permanent manager after the departure of Dean Smith, the Rangers B result and performance at least gave the Ibrox faithful something to cheer about, as it looks as if they have a few promising youngsters coming through.
