Former Sheffield United player Curtis Woodhouse says that John Lundstram would be an “excellent signing” for Steven Gerrard at Glasgow Rangers.
Gers should move for Lundstram
The Gers were heavily linked with a move for the 26 year-old during the summer, and with the midfielder recently turning down a new contract at Bramall Lane, he could available to leave as early as January as the Blades look to receive a transfer fee rather than let him leave for free next summer.
Asked on Twitter whether the Premier League man would be a good signing for the Ibrox outfit, Woodhouse, who currently manages Gainsborough Trinity, replied:
“He would be an excellent signing for Rangers yes”.
Decision for Gerrard
Indeed, Lundstram would be an intriguing capture for Gerrard at Ibrox. Last season, the former Everton youngster made 34 appearances in the English top flight, scoring five goals and providing three assists as Sheffield United finished in the top 10. Football Insider pundit Danny Mills even called his form last term “exceptional”.
Would you like to sign Lundstram?
He is now entering the prime of his career, or should be at least. On a potential free transfer, this would be a stunning bit of business from Ross Wilson if he can convince him to move north of the border. There are unlikely to be the only club in pursuit, which is why they must decide now, and act as soon as possible, if they want to pull off the deal.
In other news, one BT Sport pundit hammers this Rangers man.
