Glasgow Rangers blogger Four Lads Had a Dream have been left wowed by the performance of Alex Lowry for the Light Blues' B team on Saturday afternoon.

The Lowdown: Old Firm win

The young Gers secured an emphatic 3-0 win against their Glasgow arch-rivals in the Scottish Lowland League yesterday, with goals from Lowry, Ross McCausland and Tony Weston all coming before the 25-minute mark.

It was a chance for Lowry and co to really show what they are made of, with the 18-year-old already making four senior appearances for Giovanni van Bronckhorst's team this season.

The Latest: Lowry masterclass

Taking to Twitter, renowned Rangers bloggers Four Lads Had a Dream were wowed by Lowry's display in particular against Celtic, noting an 'incredible' pass that he made, while claiming that he was 'strutting around like it's an exhibition' and is 'miles above this level'.

They were also blown away by his goal, which they called 'superb', and dubbed him a 'real talent'.

The Verdict: Lowry's time will come

Having already played in the first team, accommodated by the spectacular performances that he is putting in for Rangers B, there seems little doubt that Lowry's time will come to be a regular under Van Bronckhorst.

However, he will only have a year left on his current deal at Ibrox in the summer, so a new contract needs to be tied down as soon as possible.

Nonetheless, Lowry is certainly one for the future, and the fans will surely want to see more of him in the first team.
