Some Rangers fans have been destroying the display of Ryan Kent against Hibernian, despite Steven Gerrard’s team running out 1-0 winners.
Ianis Hagi gave his side the lead just after the half hour mark, assisted by Kemar Roofe, as the Gers ended the day a massive 16 points clear of their bitter rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table, albeit with the Hoops having no fewer than three games in hand.
Should Kent start for Rangers?
Nonetheless, the performance of Kent was one that flattered to deceive on the day, as he recorded a quite measly 6.5 overall rating on Sofascore, the joint-lowest out of all of his teammates and the lowest out of any RFC player to start the match at Ibrox.
The former Liverpool youngster lost 10 of his duels in the clash, and also failed to record a single shot on target or put in an accurate cross for his side, while also losing possession of the ball 15 times (Sofascore).
Rangers fan reaction to Kent display
These Rangers fans destroyed his display on Twitter, with one fan even claiming that he was a ‘passenger’:
“Spot on. Kent needs a break. Cuts inside, closed down, rushed into hospital pass. Time after time. Tries to shoot, blocked or Row Z. Needs a rest, very poor today.”
“Kent’s been a passenger for two months now.”
“Rangers won that with a man missing today a lot of people giving Hagi a hard time IMO Kent never turned up today. Massive 3 pts today.”
“I will take it Rangers, Aribo was outstanding. Moving on we need to find someone to compete with Kent as he’s been extremely poor.”
“Kent is having a shocker get him off.”
“Final third has to be more ruthless. Almost lazy from Kent there. Finish this off Rangers.”
