Rangers: Fans heap praise on Glen Kamara following Old Firm victory
The weekend has started brilliantly for Rangers as they managed to comfortably beat their Old Firm rivals in the first Scottish Premiership meeting of the season.
Steven Gerrard’s side won 2-0 against Celtic, with both of the goals coming from defender Connor Goldson. He has rightfully received a lot of praise following his brace and 9.2-rated performance. However, another player who a lot of the Gers fan base are raving over is midfielder Glen Kamara.
Kamara shone in the performance, picking up a 7.2 rating, per SofaScore. He won seven ground duels, made three tackles, and completed three of his four dribbles. This highlights how he won the midfield battle in the match both defensively and offensively, leading one supporter to claim he ‘ran the show’ while others hailed his ‘unbelievable’ display.
As it stands, the result means that Gerrard’s team now sit four points clear of rivals Celtic at the top of the table. The victory will give them great confidence before their upcoming Europa League group stage opener against Standard Liege.
