Glasgow Rangers fans have been reacting to a tweet from journalist Tom English during their match against St. Johnstone on Wednesday.

The Gers were in action against the Saints at Ibrox, and they picked up a slender 1-0 win thanks to a goal from Ianis Hagi. The victory keeps them 23 points clear at the top of the Premiership with just 11 games to play (BBC) - they are within touching distance of earning their first league title in 10 years.

However, it seems they were lucky not to be down to 10 men after Kemar Roofe made a poor challenge on Murray Davidson. It came a few days after Alfredo Morelos avoided an early bath against Hibernian after stamping on Ryan Porteous.

English tweeted about Roofe's challenge and also made a reference to Morelos' indiscipline. Unsurprisingly, this attracted plenty of attention from the Gers supporters, who took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts.

Let's see what the fans had to say to English below

"Mission Clickbait from Tom! CD admits no malice but it was a poorly timed tackle and deserved a yellow for it. Tom just continues the, in imo, nonsense debate that refs are for one team. TV shows refereeing standards to be awful but its only overanalysed for certain teams too."
