Rangers: Fans hammer Alfredo Morelos
Despite Glasgow Rangers’ 3-2 win over Standard Liege in the Europa League on Thursday, the Gers supporters were far from happy with the display of Alfredo Morelos.
The Ibrox outfit booked their spot in the round of 32 after goals from Connor Goldson, James Tavernier and Scott Arfield got the job done. They are currently ahead of second-placed Benfica with one game to play – a win next week against Lech Poznan will secure top spot.
However, although the Gers were victorious, Morelos was not at his best. He cut a frustrated figure up front, managing just one shot and giving away three fouls. With seven goals in 19 games so far this term, he has not exactly been poor, but Steven Gerrard and co will be expecting more from their star forward in the coming weeks and months.
