Some Glasgow Rangers fans, it seems, are eager to see Bongani Zungu leave Ibrox at the end of his loan spell.
Zungu made the move to the Gers on deadline day of the previous transfer window after being linked with the 54-time Scottish champions for much of the summer. So far this term, though, he has made just nine appearances in the Premiership, while he has played 13 times in all competitions (Transfermarkt).
In fact, he has started just three games overall and has not been included in the starting XI by Steven Gerrard in any match in the Premiership this season. There has been little talk as to whether the Gers would like to pay the £2.7m fee to make the deal permanent (Glasgow Live), and it looks as if he is not really in the manager’s plans.
Would you sign Zungu permanently?
The Gers fans have made their feelings known, and it is clear they do not want him to remain at the club. They took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts.
Let’s see what the fans had to say about Zungu below
“He’s a donkey. Get rid”
“Zungu is not very good I’m afraid …”
“He is mince, we are soon to be a Champions Ceague team. I wouldn’t even trust him in the League Cup never mind Champions League. The guy is that good he needed a last-minute deadline loan move out of league two France. That’s how good he is. Send him packing at the end of the season”
“I’m hoping that once the league is wrapped up, he will get more game time and a proper assessment can be made. As of now, it’s a no from me, think we can get better for less.”
“He has some nice vision for passes but usually late on in games when teams are tired. I don’t think he’s quick enough to turn the ball over, looks pedestrian, wanted him to work out but not my cup of tea and I think he won’t be permanent.”
“I’ve already seen enough of Zungu to know he’s just not good enough for our squad. I just don’t see him being near the level we require.”
In other news, Rangers fans hammered this man against Ross County.
