Gary McAllister has provided an update on the injury status of Glasgow Rangers trio Ryan Jack, Bongani Zungu and Joe Aribo ahead of the Gers’ match with Falkirk.
McAllister shares injury news
McAllister took charge of the pre-match press conference instead of Steven Gerrard. As such, he shared the latest injury from Ibrox that ended up being a mixed bag.
“Zungu will train today, Joe Aribo is better today and hopeful he arrives back into training tomorrow. Ryan Jack won’t be around for the weekend.”
To have Zungu and potentially Aribo available for the weekend is good news, especially considering both did not play against Benfica in the Europa League and are therefore fresher than those who took part against the Portuguese outfit. Both could well be in line to go straight into the first team.
Will Rangers beat Falkirk?
Being without Jack is a blow, no doubt. He has appeared in 17 games in all competitions for the Gers so far this campaign, and Gerrard said earlier this term that the 28-year-old does “everything right”. However, this is a squad game, and the Gers are currently unbeaten in 22 matches despite losing others to injury. The 54-time Scottish champions should be able to make do without Jack this weekend.
In other news, Steven Gerrard makes this Rangers transfer admission.
