Rangers: Ryan Jack could miss out with ‘minor issue’

Michael Beale has confirmed that Ryan Jack could also miss out for Glasgow Rangers this afternoon through injury alongside John Lundstram.
The Lowdown: Injury woes
Beale has had to deal with a number of injuries in his first-team squad since he took charge, with as many as six players out long-term.
A couple of players also picked up knocks last time out in their 3-2 win at home to Partick Thistle in the Scottish FA Cup, while John Lundstram is another who missed out because of a sore ankle.
The Latest: Jack has ‘minor issue’
Speaking to the media in his pre-game press conference ahead of their match away at Livingston in the Scottish Premiership, Beale has confirmed that Jack has a ‘minor issue’ and so is a doubt for the clash, while Lundstram is ‘touch and go’, and both Connor Goldson and Nicolas Raskin also had minor issues from the Partick game.
The former is expected to be fine after being on the bench, while the latter has returned to training, but Jack could still miss out alongside Lundstram:
“Lundstram touch and go for the weekend, Goldson had a small issue and that is why didn’t start last week. Raskin had some minor issues after the game, Jack had a minor issue also. We will see how we go after training tomorrow. We still have a strong squad available.”
The Verdict: Hopefully okay…
Beale will be hoping that Jack is okay to feature against Livingston after picking up a ‘minor issue’ after the Partick match.
The central midfielder has only missed one game under the new manager, and Beale has even admitted that he is in the ‘best eleven‘ players at the club.
Jack averages the joint-highest pass success rate (89.7%) in the Gers squad for players to have featured ten or more times in the SPFL, while he also ranks highly for key passes (1.1), showing how influential he is in attacking build-up, and how key he could be to unlocking a potentially stubborn Livingston defence.
