Andrew Dickson has given his reaction to the news that Aaron Ramsey will miss tonight's game for Glasgow Rangers in the UEFA Europa League.

The Lowdown: Ramsey out

Speaking in his pre-game press conference ahead of the match, Giovanni van Bronckhorst revealed that the 31-year-old will not be in the squad for the second leg at home to Borussia Dortmund tonight.

The central midfielder, on loan from Juventus, missed the Gers' 1-1 draw at Dundee United in the Premiership over the weekend with a minor knock, and he was also absent for their 2-2 draw against English Premier League side Brentford in a recent bounce clash.

The Latest: Dickson reacts

Taking to Twitter, Dickson - who writes for Sky Sports - has been left frustrated by the news that Ramsey will miss the tie, stating:

"Still plenty of time for Ramsey to make a positive contribution and if he does that in a way where he helps retain the title, I'm not sure too many will moan about the money spent on him like they are now... but there's no doubt his situation is growing increasingly frustrating."

The Verdict: Big loss

There is no doubt that Ramsey is a big loss for the match tonight, as his European experience would have been handy in what could be a very nervous 90 minutes for his team-mates, following the 4-2 lead that they hold from the first leg.

Crucially, he has played against Dortmund before - he has won four times and scored against them - but will now have to pass on his wisdom from off of the pitch.

Nonetheless, the Teddy Bears will have to get through without him at Ibrox, and their two-goal advantage should certainly help in overcoming his absence.
