Jack Simpson reportedly now wants to leave Glasgow Rangers in the summer after recent talks with his agent.

The Lowdown: No January move

Simpson was strongly linked with a move away from Ibrox at the end of the January transfer window, having only played in a total of six games over all competitions so far this season.

However, a deal never materialised in the end, and so he is stuck with the Teddy Bears until the end of the campaign.

The Latest: Agent talks

Speaking to Football Insider, sources from the Light Blues have revealed that Simpson has now had a meeting with the hierarchy and is looking to move on this summer.

He has had crunch talks with his agent, and has now decided that he wants to leave.

The Verdict: Sell

Unfortunately for Simpson, it has not quite worked out for him since signing from AFC Bournemouth.

He has barely played any football, and when he has, the six-foot-three defender has often been criticised by both journalists and fans for his performances.

With the arrival of John Souttar from Hearts on a pre-contract, as well as the options that Giovanni van Bronckhorst already has at his disposal, Simpson will not be greatly missed, and so the summer is the perfect time for the Gers to cash in on the 25-year-old.
