According to Sky Sports, Middlesbrough, QPR and Preston are in a three-way battle to sign Glasgow Rangers man Jordan Jones.
As such, the Northern Ireland international is being targeted by the Championship trio, although the Ibrox outfit have not yet received any official offers.
It is hardly good news for the Gers, and indeed 25-year-old Jones himself, that there have been no offers for his services. As the transfer window approaches the deadline, the winger will be hoping that someone is willing to take him from a place where he is not longer wanted.
Should Jordan Jones leave the club?
Currently valued at £540,000 by Transfermarkt, Jones does have plenty to offer down the flanks, but it remains to be seen who will take a gamble on a player who made just 15 appearances in all competitions last season. Gerrard and Ross Wilson will be hoping that someone does so that they can offload some deadwood in exchange for a fee.
