Rangers: Gers eye deals for Davies and Johnson

According to Football Insider, Glasgow Rangers are working on pre-contract deals for Ben Davies and Daniel Johnson.
Rangers eye bargain duo
The Gers are said to be working on a number of pre-contract deals, with Scott Wright also eyed as a potential bargain signing.
Preston North End duo Davies and Johnson, both of whom will be out of contract come the summer, are on the Ibrox outfit’s radar this month, and the Gers are said to already be working on deals to take them north of the border.
Good deals
The Gers made several multi-million pound purchases during the summer transfer window (Transfermarkt), which therefore means some cheaper deals would not go amiss this time around. Davies and Johnson, effectively on free transfers, would represent good captures for the Ibrox outfit.
Would you like to sign Davies and Johnson?
Yes

No

Davies has been an ever-present for the Deepdale side in the Championship, making 126 appearances in England’s second division across the last three full campaigns as well as this one. Johnson, meanwhile, scored 12 goals and provided eight assists last term in the league. Valued at £2.16m and £3.6m respectively (Transfermarkt), bringing them in without a transfer fee would represent two bits of fantastic business from Ross Wilson and co. It remains to be seen whether if either player agrees to move north of the border.
In other news, it has been suggested this Rangers striker could leave the club this January.
