Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos replied to a heartfelt Instagram post from Jordan Jones, who joined Sunderland on loan on Friday.
Morelos wishes Jones well
Jones has been surrounded by controversy so far this campaign, with him receiving a seven-game ban in December after breaking coronavirus regulations when he attended a house party (BBC).

Following his short-term move, Jones took to the social media platform to wish the Gers luck for the rest of the campaign and to express his excitement at joining the Black Cats (Instagram via Ibrox News). Morelos was one of the few Gers players to respond, saying: ‘Buena Suerte amigo’, which translates to ‘Good Luck friend’.
Morelos’ softer side
This was a display of Morelos’ softer side. The Colombia international has been in the headlines for the wrong reasons again this week, as he was lucky to avoid a red card for stamping on Ryan Porteous against Hibernian. He has since been handed with a notice of complaint and could now face a three-game ban (The Scottish Sun).

For Jones, this is an opportunity for him to retrieve the form that saw the Ibrox outfit sign him from Kilmarnock. With one goal in 19 matches for the 54-time Scottish champions (Transfermarkt), he will know he is capable of better. Now is his chance to prove it.
