Rangers will be bracing themselves for an improved offer for their captain this summer as the transfer deadline fast approaches.
Steven Gerrard has overseen a number of arrivals and departures since he was appointed as the new Light Blues boss, however, there is one man that he is adamant on keeping with him at Ibrox.
The Englishman has shone for the Light Blues with his attacking displays, but his defensive play had left question marks over his Ibrox future at the beginning of the summer.
However, it appears that Gerrard rates the former Wigan Athletic man highly and is looking to keep the 26-year-old in Glasgow for as long as possible.
The Verdict:

Gerrard will have shown his intention of keeping Tavernier at the club earlier this summer when he named the full-back as his captain.
The 26-year-old has been a regular for Rangers since his 2015 switch from Wigan and the club will be keen to hold onto him.
However, he had been linked with moves away from the club when Gerrard first took over, and should the Light Blues receive an improved offer for him, then it remains to be seen if will depart for a new challenge.
