Glasgow Rangers have ‘made contact’ with Sean Dyche regarding their managerial vacancy, according to journalist Fraser Fletcher.

The Scottish Premiership outfit relieved Giovanni van Bronckhorst of his duties on Monday following an underwhelming start to the season, and there have already been multiple names flying around as to who his successor could be.
Michael Beale and Ralph Hasenhuttl are just two of the names that have been linked with a move to the Ibrox, though it appears that Ross Wilson has his sights set on a very different target.
The Latest: Rangers approach Dyche
Taking to Twitter, Fletcher revealed that the Light Blues have made an approach for Dyche in the hope that he will accept the offer to take over the reins in Glasgow. He wrote:
“Giovanni Van Bronckhorst is gone!
“Rangers have made contact with Sean Dyche amongst others I’m told.
“Dyche would be superb at Rangers as I’ve suggested before.”
The Verdict: One to watch?
Rangers need to appoint someone with a view to the long-term, and Dyche is a candidate that would tick plenty of boxes when you consider his managerial record.
The Kettering-born coach guided Burnley to promotion back in 2015/16 and has since gone on to take charge of 258 games in the Premier League and has proven himself at the highest level.
Turf Moor’s former boss is also a free agent meaning that no compensation would have to be paid to secure his services, making this a move that could be suitable for both parties.
