Some Rangers fans aren’t too happy with Wednesday evening’s big club announcement, as the Gers revealed they are in the market for a new kit supplier for the 2020/21 season.
Rangers are actively seeking a new partner for the club’s kit, retail and licensing rights from this summer onwards, an official statement confirmed on Wednesday. The Gers are looking to revamp the club website and launch a new online club store, and want to mark the occasion with a new kit deal. The statement also details that the 150th anniversary of the club in 2022 will bring a “unique opportunity” for their next partner to join the anniversary celebrations.
However, while some fans responded to the club’s announcement with glee, already dreaming about a return to the glorious Adidas kits of years gone by, others were underwhelmed by what is basically a request for manufacturers to approach the club.

Gutted man the Hummel kits are the best kits we’ve had in decades and probably the most consistent kit producer we’ve ever had. Not a single poor design.

Stick with Hummel

People seem to be getting excited about this, I on the other hand have the fear. Rangers entered into an agreement with Hummel and subsequently renamed our training centre. After yet more court battles are we really an appealing proposition for the likes of Adidas?
