Rangers target reportedly willing to take pay cut ahead of potential Ibrox move

Uncertainty still surrounds the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern as their beloved Gers seemingly close in on a new manager to take the reigns at Ibrox at long last.

With Mark Warburton having departed Glasgow a while now, the drinkers in the bar are hopeful the managerial issue could soon be sorted out by top brass atop the marble staircase, boosted by reports from the Daily Record.

They’ve revealed Portuguese tactician Pedro Caixinha has been locked in secret talks with the Ibrox giants for the past week or so, having reportedly impressed those interviewing him after jetting into London from Qatar.

A left-field suggestion, the Gers in the Tavern are getting increasingly on board with the idea of the 46-year-old arriving, having searched all they can about him on their phones as soon as news broke. The report further suggests Caixinha himself is keen on a move to Scotland, despite the lucrative deal he is reportedly on in the Middle East.

He’s understood to see a move to the SPFL as an ideal project and would reportedly be willing to take a pay cut to leave Qatar. That being said, Rangers fans like him already.

Would Caixinha be a good option for Rangers? Let us know below…
