Rangers’ striking options have been supplemented by the return of Eduardo Herrera, who is now back from his loan spell at Necaxa in his native Mexico, as reported by The Scottish Sun.

The 31-year-old came to Ibrox in June 2017 but failed to establish himself in Glasgow, making just two starts and scoring only twice in 24 appearances for the ‘Gers (as per TransferMarkt).
His spell at Necaxa was the second time that he had been loaned back to his homeland, having also been dispatched to Santos Laguna in 2018, and he scored nine goals in 39 games for Necaxa this year.
Herrera’s return brings the number of senior strikers at Rangers to four, with the Mexican joining Alfredo Morelos, Jermain Defoe and Greg Stewart.
The 31-year-old is out of contract at Ibrox at the end of this season and Rangers fan @Pena_Cartel on Twitter asked followers if they feel the striker should be kept as backup or allowed to leave.
