Steven Gerrard’s side are chasing a third consecutive win in all competitions tonight but have failed to string together back-to-back league victories since beating St Mirren three weeks ago (as per TransferMarkt). Defeat at Hearts and a draw at home to Aberdeen have seen them fall seven points behind their Glasgow rivals at the top of the table.
They have often found Rugby Park a tough nut to crack on recent visits. It took a stoppage time Connor Goldson header to secure all three points when they last visited Kilmarnock on the opening day of the season and that came after they had failed to win their three previous matches at the venue.
