Raul Jimenez has been in fine form for Wolverhampton Wanders this season.
The Mexico international joined the Molineux outfit on loan from Benfica in the summer and has played a key role in helping Nuno Espirito Santo’s side fight for seventh place in the Premier League table.
The 27-year-old, who could make a move to the top-flight side on a permanent deal at the end of his temporary stay, has 11 goals and six assists to his name so far in his 29 appearances across all competitions.
However, there was a chance that he may not have been at Wolves, with the player revealing he had an offer from China on the table.
According to a report by the Birmingham Mail, Jimenez admitted he turned down a ‘lot of money’ because he had felt that the move was not at the ‘right moment’.
“I’m in a good moment. I had the belief and confidence that this was going to go well. Regarding the offer from China, it was a lot of money, but I knew it wasn’t the right moment,” he said.
“Everyone has different reasons for making these choices, to return or stay in Europe. I simply had faith that I could make a name for myself in Europe. I think that it’s working, I’m doing well without giving up.”

Jimenez has been a stand out for Wolves this season and fans will have been delighted with his decision to give Europe another go and reject the chance to move to China.
The forward finds himself in a number of excellent goalscoring positions in every single game and has proven to be a real threat to Premier League defences so far.
Fans will be desperate for Nuno to keep him at Molineux beyond the end of the season with the performances he has managed to produce so far in the top-flight.
