‘Really bad news’ – Leeds fans react to recent negative update

Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to seeing how their side is going to do this season with them back in action this weekend in the Championship.

The men from Elland Road have had a top start to their campaign this time around and are the only unbeaten side left in all competitions across the 72 sides in the Football League.

For sure, then, the club has plenty to shout about right now and the Whites will be looking for that to continue as we head into a hectic part of the season.

They will, however, seemingly have to do things without Caleb Ekuban with the player set for a fairly substantial time out on the sidelines after undergoing a foot opertation – as per Phil Hay:

Ekuban has had an operation on a broken bone in his foot. Looking at a recovery period of eight weeks/two months. #lufc

Leeds fans, then, have reacted to the news of this impending lay off, then, and so, with that in mind, here is the best of what has been said:

Sorry to hear how bad the injury is let’s hope for a speedy recovery MOT

— Martin Dickson (@MartinLeeds59) 5 September 2017

When did he do that?? I thought he pulled his hamstring against forest??

— Harry Somerville (@HarrySomerville) 5 September 2017

Where have you been was against Sunderland he did it. He didn’t even get in the squad against Forest cos of what happened at Sunderland

— Guv (@GuvBhangal) 5 September 2017

Really bad news for the kid after his promising start at Leeds. Wonder if we wouldn’t have signed 3 extra strikers if he had remained fit ?

— chris (@LeedsLoudHaler) 5 September 2017

Phil, would free agents such as Chico/Bassong CB’s or Joe Ledley CM be good signings as cover?

— Tom White (@Tombazza1) 5 September 2017

Poor lad looked like he loved playing for Leeds

— Olly (@LUFCOlly) 5 September 2017

That’s a shame, that will hamper his chances to establish himself particularly with the new signings.
