Our landlord’s had to separate two factions of Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern this afternoon, who are arguing over recent reports of a swoop for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
Whilst some reckon the Ivory Coast international would be a fantastic addition, having bagged five goals and six assists in the Premier League this season whilst ranking third in the division’s dribble charts, others aren’t convinced the 24-year-old can make the step up from Selhurst Park to White Hart Lane.
Earlier this week, Mirror Football reported that Spurs are ‘confident’ of sealing a deal for the explosive winger during the next transfer window. But when asked about rumours of Zaha making the trip from South to North London, Palace chairman Steve Parish described them as ‘all tosh’ on Twitter.
Have you not learnt by now not to read this nonsense.
It’s all click bait ‘it is believed’ ‘sources close to’

Great news for Crystal Palace fans then, but it appears a significant chunk of Spurs supporters are surprisingly chuffed as well. Responding to the above tweet, Tottenham fans made their feelings about Zaha perfectly clear…
@CEO4TAG don’t sell him to us, I beg ya.
