It’s the news all Liverpool fans have been waiting for – it has been confirmed that the Premier League will soon resume.
The news was confirmed on Thursday afternoon, with the Premier League announcing that the top flight will restart on June 17th. The Bundesliga had already started in the middle of May, and the success of the resumption in Germany – as of yet, there have been no new cases after three matchdays – has obviously given the English football authorities the belief that the sport can be resumed on these shores.

Liverpool reporter James Pearce shared the news on his Twitter account, and he took aim at those who have been continually asking for the campaign to be null and voided, whilst also relaying the announcement.

It is fair to say that the Reds supporters love Pearce’s tweet, understandably so given it should allow them to claim the Premier League title as they currently sit 25 points clear at the top.
