Arsenal fans here in the Tavern will be desperate for their side to hold onto a couple of stars this summer after bringing in a number of players.
The Gunners will have their sights set firmly on challenging for the Premier League title next season having already used the summer transfer window to their advantage. Although, it looks as if Arsenal may have to wave goodbye to one of their star players, as according to the Mirror, Jack Wilshere looks set to leave the Emirates on a free transfer this summer after being told he is not a key figure in Unai Emery’s plans.
Emery made it clear he wants to keep him having offered Wilshere £110,000-a-week to stay plus a £65,000 bonus if he plays and the team wins, which would potentially take him up to £175,000-a-week.
And, the Englishman was desperate to stay at the Emirates and had agreed a deal but, after talks with Emery this week, it has become clear he could end up being a fringe player rather than a regular starter.
So, It would be a heartbreaking decision for Wilshere to leave when his contract expires at the end of the month but it looks increasingly likely that he will end up leaving.
Wolves, West Ham and Everton are among the clubs that have offered deals but there are also good offers from European clubs Sampdoria, AC Milan and Juventus, who are all keen.

So, it looks as if Jack Wilshere is set to depart in the summer after being told that he won’t be guaranteed a starting place by Unai Emery. Many of our local residents are disappointed that the newly-appointed Emery has pushed one of the club’s stars towards an unwanted exit, as the Englishman was desperate to stay.
