Report: Gerrard receives welcome financial boost as he continues to build new Rangers era

Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern are in for some exciting times and will be pleased with some of the latest developments coming from outside the club this summer.

The Ibrox outfit have been busy making a number of signings during the transfer window, with Steven Gerrard making six transfers already and he remains hopeful that he can bring a few more additions to the side.

The former Liverpool man is also expected to have to offload a number of players if he is to have the funds available for more acquisitions, however, it appears that the club’s shareholders have managed to raise a significant amount of funds to go directly into the club.

The Scottish Sun are claiming that CLUB 1872, who are the second largest shareholder for the club, have managed to raise their target of £1million and have confirmed that it will go straight into the Ibrox outfit.

Laura Fawkes, who is the director of the shareholder, has stated that the money will help Gerrard continue his revolution as he looks to make the Light Blues competitive once again.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Rangers fans in the Tavern will be delighted with the money being raised from outside the club and will be pleased that Gerrard will benefit from it directly as they look to compete with their Old Firm rivals Celtic for domestic honours.
