Unfortunately for the Rangers fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, many of their fellow drinkers in our venue swear allegiance to bitter rivals Celtic, who have dominated the Scottish Premiership this season.
It seems like everywhere the Gers go, the shadow of their buoyant Bhoys looms large over their attempts to close the gap, perhaps best indicated by reports in the Scottish Sun today. If you didn’t know already, the Ibrox giants have been linked with a move for Portuguese coach Pedro Caixinha.
The 46-year-old has been discussed by many of our punters as a left-field option, though they were just starting to get on board with the potential notion, until the Sun dropped a bombshell. They’ve revealed he used to work for the Hoops as a scout back in 2009 and again in 2013, while also earning his coaching badges alongside former Hoops and Hibernian favourite Alan Stubbs.
With that in mind, some of our Gers aren’t too keen on the idea now.
