The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern cannot stop laughing it seems.
Indeed, while our resident Reds were crying following their weekend thumping at the hands of Manchester City, those propping up our bar are in shock about the fact that Roy Hodgson has been handed another job.
Not only was Woy’s last game in management England’s famous loss to Iceland at Euro 2016, the 70-year-old endured a wholly unhappy stint in charge of the Reds way back in 2010 until early 2011.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few days, you’ll know the former Kop chief is set to take over at Crystal Palace – the club he started his career with way back in 1965 – his first managerial role in the Premier League since leaving West Bromwich Albion in 2012.
As you can imagine, Roy’s return to the dugout has sparked a reaction from Liverpool fans online, and here’s a look at a few who took to Twitter to voice their opinions.
If Crystal Palace bring in Roy Hodgson they might as well start preparing for life in the championship now.#LFC

Not sure what's more ridiculous. Sacking De Boer after 4 games or giving the job to Hodgson.

Roy Hodgson was a terrible, terrible Liverpool manager. But he is allowed to get another job. The obsessing over him is plain weird #lfc
