It has been a problematic season at the back for Liverpool, and the fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for Jurgen Klopp to find a solution. Perhaps the most significant concern for the German comes at left-back, with Alberto Moreno continuing to struggle.
The Spaniard has been mistake-prone all season long, and it’s undoubtedly time for a change. Fortunately, in Andy Robertson, Klopp has a fantastic potential solution, and it seems as though the Liverpool faithful are ready for their manager to make the big decision to bring the Scottish player in.
According to a recent poll ran by our landlord, a whopping 90% of Liverpool fans want to see Robertson start against Spartak Moscow on Wednesday evening, which is a pretty unanimous verdict from the Reds. Robertson, of course, played over the weekend against Brighton, given Liverpool’s injury problems, and he put in a fantastic performance.
Offering solid defending, a fantastic engine going forward and great tackling, Robertson delivered on all counts against the Seagulls, and he’d be a fantastic option for Jurgen Klopp this week too.
With Spartak Moscow offering a very threatening attack, he could be just what Liverpool need, with his defensive solidity likely to be key.
