Rio Ferdinand will not face Rangers tomorrow in their Uefa Champions League qualifier as Sir Alex has chosen to rest the England captain.
True to form though, Rio has chosen to use his Twitter profile to voice his thoughts on the matter.
“I’m not going 2 be playing in the rangers game..hate missing these games,full of atmosphere + pressure. FYI rested not injured!!” Ferdinand tweeted.
Ferdinand will not be alone as Ferguson will also be resting fellow centre back Nemanja Vidic; leaving Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans the task of keeping the Glaswegians at bay.
Seems Ferdi is a little gutted but I’m sure Sir Alex won’t be too fond of him tweeting his views on his decisions to the world. In the future I foresee club bans on this sort of thing.
