Allan McGregor is currently Rangers’ number one between the sticks.
The Scotland international is a legend at Ibrox, having made over 300 appearances with the Glasgow outfit across two spells. His time at the club has been successful as well, with him winning three league titles, three Scottish Cups and three Scottish League Cups.

However, he is already 38, and can surely not be around forever – whether Steven Gerrard wants to think about it or not, he will need to find a replacement for him sooner rather than later. Fortunately for him, he may already have a one waiting in the wings.
On Friday, journalist Jordan Campbell tweeted that Robby McCrorie has won Player of the Season at Queen of the South despite only being there for the first half of the season, and there is a consensus that he could be the man to follow McGregor.

Robbie has a big future. Hopefully will be with us. He’s also an extremely nice guy. Every time I meet him he seems taller

Saw him play the second half of the friendly against Helsinki a few years ago and never understood the hype. However, his progress has been staggering over the last few campaigns and I couldn’t agree with this forecast any more.

Been told for years he was a top talent and would be great to see both brothers cement places in the first team over the next few seasons

Got to be number 2 next season. Saves bringing someone in and can be called upon if required
