According to a recent Tottenham update by reliable correspondent Alasdair Gold, Spurs ‘do have an interest’ in signing Swansea City defender Joe Rodon but he understands that there are also ‘concerns’ surrounding recent injury problems.

The Wales defender, who emerged as a target on deadline day, was reportedly ‘close‘ to a move and continues to be monitored by chairman Daniel Levy as Tottenham refuse to give up their search for a new defender.
Contrary to a recent update by Sky Sports, which claims that the youngster was verging on a north London move, the football.london journalist states that there is interest but that is yet to be solidified with an offer.
Gold hints that a move could be ‘likely’ before the EFL window deadline on October 16th, but Spurs are yet to ‘firm up’ with a bid for the 22-year-old.

Failing to sign him during the regular window means that he’ll miss out on Europa League registration and, as a result, will not be able to feature in the competition for Spurs if he does sign in less than 10 days.
Writing on Twitter, the reliable Tottenham journalist also claimed that there are slight ‘concerns’ surrounding recent ankle trouble, with Rodon having been out of action on numerous occasions as result.
There are now potential downsides to a move for Rodon, but Spurs also have many reasons to make a bonus window swoop.
Standing at a lofty 6ft 4, the powerhouse could be one for the future, and Lilywhites superstar Gareth Bale is reportedly a ‘big fan’.
Defenders Milan Skriniar and Antonio Rudiger were at the centre of Levy’s interest on deadline day, with the duo failing to secure a move (Fabrizio Romano).
Now, Rodon stands out as a credible EFL alternative and one with a potentially huge ceiling.
