This summer has been a brilliant one for Arsenal fans. Unai Emery has come to the club and put his own tint on The Emirates, providing a much-needed shake-up after the club had been allowed to stagnate under Arsene Wenger. However, there could be yet another big chance as according to Arsenal Fan TV on Twitter, Ivan Gazidis is a dead cert to be leaving the club for AC Milan.

There will be a mixed feeling for Gazidis. The 53-year-old South African has been the chief executive at Arsenal for nine and half years after taking the job back in January 2009 after David Dein stepped down from his role. Now, a lot of fans are calling for Dein to return to his post as Gazidis nears a move to Milan, who have been undergoing a reshuffle of their own with new owners taking over the red half of the San Siro.
For a few years, all of the Arsenal fans had been calling for the heads of Arsene Wenger, Ivan Gazidis and Stan Kroenke and now they could be destined to have two of the three, with Wenger resigning at the end of last season and Gazidis now set to leave. The club will probably be better off getting a man who’s worked with Emery before as their new chief executive anyway, and not many Arsenal fans will be upset to see the back of Gazidis.

He did his job in getting Wenger out but our commercial dealings have been way behind the other big clubs. A fresh approach to those off field dealings could be massively beneficial to the club.

Most fans are pleased to see the back of Gazidis as they haven’t forgotten that he was very much part of the problem in the worst of the Wenger years.
