“Samba Is Vermaelen’s Perfect Partner” Says George Graham

Former Arsenal boss George Grahambelieves Blackburn’s Christopher Samba is the man to solve Arsenal’s defensive problems, according totalkSPORT.

The 27-year-old centre-back has officially handed in a transfer request atEwood Park, but Blackburn boss Steve Kean insists he is not for sale.

PSG, Tottenham and QPR, who have already tabled a £5 million bid for the defender, are just three clubs out of a handful said to be interested in Samba.

Graham believes Arsene Wenger should target Samba to reinforce the Gunners defence, which has now conceded the most away goals in the Premier League.

Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, Graham said:

‘You look at the Arsenal back four and they keep changing. Both of the full-backs are injured and they’re playing centre-halves there. There was a young Frenchman playing against Swansea [Ignasi Miquel] who was completely out of his depth.’

Graham then went on to suggest that Samba would make the perfect defensive partner for the injured Thomas Vermaelen:

‘I’d be in for Samba [to help out in defence.] Thomas Vermaelen is one of the best centre-halves in the Premier League and they need to get him back as quickly as possible.

‘They need a strong defensive centre-half to play alongside him though and Samba would make the perfect partner.’

Well now, when it comes to football, one man has for many years been the most noticeable, the most controversial, and occasionally the most successful blogger this country has ever produced. His pithy words and abrasive style make him as famous off the pitch as he is on it. This man is Escapini. "I love football. Football she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring a kettle to the boil." "Cause football is about nothing, unless it's about something and what it is about, is football."
