Celtic: Fans discuss Anthony Ralston in throwback to Paris-Saint Germain Champions League clash

Discussing St Johnstone loanee defender Anthony Ralston on Twitter, plenty of Celtic fans have been delivering their verdicts on the ex-Brendan Rodgers favourite – with one fan suggesting he thought the Hoops had a ‘real talent‘ in the making.
Ralston, who has found game time at Celtic difficult to come by in recent seasons, started against Ligue 1 giants Paris-Saint Germain back in 2017 during a Champions League group stage encounter. Indeed, manager Rodgers opted to include the youngster at right-back, with the player going on to have a difficult afternoon as PSG romped to a 5-0 victory in Glasgow.
Celtic sustained their largest ever European defeat that night, with supporters looking back and discussing Ralston’s performance in particular. Ex-boss Rodgers, who has praised Ralston in the past (Celtic official), appeared to gamble with his inclusion against the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Here’s how supporters discussed the player down below.
He made a smashing run up the right first half, won a good 50/50 then nearly scored…. Thought we had a real talent on our hands after that game, he showed some desire

The sad thing is he was one of the newer players on the night. If the whole team had showed the spirit he showed, we could have lost by at least one less goal…

Should never have been thrown into a game like that. Was the end of his celtic career before it even started.
