Celtic will want to amend their recent below par performances and the best way to do that is by delving into the transfer market.
The Hoops were extremely lucky to make it through to the next round of the Europa League but now fans are demanding more talent during the January transfer window.
It’s been far more of a rollercoaster season this time around compared to previous years, which Celtic will be keen to bring some consistency back to.
Frequently, they win big but then underperform the next week, something a clinical striker like Levante’s Roger Marti would fix.
The Spanish forward, (who is valued at £4.5 million on Transfermarkt) is enjoying a tremendous run of form he will be keen to continue.
Marti has eight goals in his 13 appearances this season, which include strikes against the likes of Valencia, Sevilla and Real Madrid.
This season hasn’t been an anomaly either, Marti bagged 22 goals in La Liga 2 just a few seasons ago, showing that whatever the league, he is capable of finding the back of the net.
He would surely continue his goal flurry for Celtic too, seeing as though on paper, opponents may be weaker than Roger Marti is used to facing.
Nevertheless, it would be a huge scalp for Celtic to recruit a goal-scorer like the 27-year-old, who is enjoying some of the best football of his life at the moment.
The pressure would no longer solely be on youngster Odsonne Edouard and Roger Marti could even teach the Frenchman a thing or two, if he made the move over to Scotland.
