Celtic are in high spirits after securing their seventh successive trophy under Brendan Rodgers.
After the Scottish Cup victory, Celtic are set to try and follow that up with the league trophy once again as they face a challenge from Rangers to do so.
Their squad is fully motivated to win more silverware that will propel Brendan Rodgers into an even bigger hero at Celtic Park.
Yet there is belief Celtic could be a lot better with some sensible signings when the January transfer window opens.
A right-back is a position of need for the Hoops considering that Lustig and Gamboa are just not good enough anymore.
In that case, eyeing Liverpool’s Nathaniel Clyne would be a brilliant move for Celtic as they look to add further quality into their squad.
Clyne, who is valued at £18 million on Transfermarkt, has yet to play in the Premier League this season, after the immense progression both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez have made.
The 27-year-old has been battling through injuries to try and get himself back in contention at Anfield but so far his efforts have not been recognised by Jurgen Klopp.
Whilst he may still try to get back into the fold at Anfield, Nathaniel Clyne could be bettered suited to a team like Celtic, linking up with his former manager Brendan Rodgers.
With pace and defensive skill, Clyne would for sure be an upgrade on Celtic’s current options and could be influential in leading them to more success this season.
He is a passionate player that will give his all for the team and that’s what Celtic would like to recruit him, surely.
