Celtic haven’t had the perfect start to the season that they previously have had or dreamt of but confidence remains high in Brendan Rodgers to deliver this season.
The Hoops will be hopeful in thinking that another Scottish Premiership victory will occur again this season but also this term, they want to add European success to their list of recent achievements.
Brendan Rodgers, like many believed he would, has brought a lot of success with him during his time at Celtic Park and that cannot afford to stop this season either.
With that in mind, Celtic need to delve back into the transfer market and reinvest some of the money they received over the summer. Seeing as it’s likely they will need another centre-back due to Dedryck Boyata’s unfaithfulness to the club, Manchester City Eliaquim Mangala is the ideal replacement and improvement for the Belgian.
Mangala, (who is valued at £13.5 million on Transfermarkt) is a player that could add immense quality to Celtic’s back-line and is a defender absolutely worth investing in.
The Frenchman has failed to ever really nail down a place at Manchester City and understandably so due to the endless amount of quality the Citizens have at their disposal.
With just one year left on his contract at the Etihad, it seems Man City will have their one and only chance to cash in during the January transfer window, where Celtic would be able to continue their flowing business partnership with Man City and get a deal agreed for a defender that would take them to the next level.
Should Celtic give Mangala another chance… Let us know!Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
